SkyLight Studio Policy
The policy of the photo studio is a public offer. Any client, from the moment of booking or from the beginning of using the studio space, recognizes as having accepted the public offer in full and undertakes to follow the Rules.
  1. General Provisions
    1. The photo studio location: 8 47 street, Dubai Investment Park 2, Dubai, UAE
    2. The usual working hours of the photo studio are daily from 10 am to 10 pm. Upon request, the studio accepts clients around the clock. For more details, see clause 5 of the Rules.
    3. The photo studio is not responsible and does not extend booking hours because of clients being late due to circumstances made by third parties.
    4. For security reasons, in the studio is installed video surveillance.
    5. An introductory showing of studio zones is being held from 10 am to 10 pm in case the studio is available.
    6. Furniture and interior items and their positions in zones as well, may differ from the photos presented on the website. In case the strict compliance is necessary, please kindly notify the studio administrator about this.
    7. The administrator ensures the client's access to the studio zone only after signing the act of transferring the zones, equipment and props, as well as after full payment of the rental time. Please arrange your time with this requirement in mind. For signing, you need the passport details of the person responsible for shooting.
    8. Please, note that the management of the photo studio cannot guarantee the possibility of recording a clear sound.
    9. The management of the photo studio is not responsible for forgotten and lost items.
  2. Renting of studio zones
    1. The minimal rental package for any studio zone is 1 hour.
    2. Renting for 1 hour is possible with full payment at the time of booking (means full prepayment).
    3. Changing of photo backgrounds, nozzles, moving furniture, suspended structures at the client’s request is carried out by the administrator. Otherwise, the liability for the damaged props transfers to the client.
    4. Using of paints, sparkles, fluff, confetti and water while shooting is allowed only with permission of the studio’s management. Otherwise, the liability for the damaged props transfers to the client.
    5. Shooting with domestic and wild animals by prior management’s approval only. The client is liable for damaged props and equipment.
    6. Smoking is prohibited in the studio. Violation of the prohibition is a fine of 100 AED.
    7. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the studio. Violation of the prohibition is a fine of 500 AED.
    8. The studio is suitable for holding events, master classes, seminars, trainings, presentations, birthdays, corporate parties, which must be discussed with the studio management in advance. Meanwhile, the cost of renting zones can be changed in accordance with clause 5.11 of the rules. Unfortunately, only non-alcoholic events are possible.
    9. The presence of more than six people in the studio must be agreed with the management, as this is accompanied by a change in the rental price. Otherwise, the management has the right to cancel the booking.
    10. In case of violation of the rules of conduct, disturbing the peace and public order, the management has the right to limit the time of your stay in the studio immediately without refunding payment for the unused rental time.
    11. In case of booking a studio for photography, the client can only work in a prebooked area and strictly at the booked timing. In case the client wants to rent other zone/zones within the paid time, he/she is obliged to pay 100 AED extra for each additional zone.
    12. If the client books several zones for photography for more than 1 hour, the timing for each zone is negotiated at the rate of one zone for 1 hour.
    13. It is forbidden to record the voice as part of the studio rental under the photo shoot package. The management is not responsible for the quality of the recording, if any noise in the studio or outside.
    14. If client books a studio for video shoot, the studio is completely closed for the needs of the client; he/she can use all areas in the studio at his/her discretion. The number of used zones does not affect the rental price.
    15. Once the shoot is completed, all zones must be in the same condition as they were before the arrival of the client.
  3. Booking
    1. The studio is booked by phone +971 56 839 9199, from Monday to Saturday, or by e-mail hello@skylightstudio.com , the working hours: from 10 am to 10 pm.
    2. When booking a studio for photo or video shoot, for each client is necessary to make prepayment for booking confirmation. Until prepayment is received on the company's account, any other client can book same time and zone, and after the payment is completed, the time is booked for the client instantly, which immediately makes it impossible to rent this time for other studio visitors.
    3. In case of booking by phone or e-mail, the studio administrator enters the desired time in studio schedule under the “pre-booking” status. "Pre-booking" expires if there is no prepayment before the end of the studio working day on the day the booking was requested.
    4. In case the client needs to book the studio more than two months before the date of rental and subject to changes in the prices for the rental zones, the rates valid at the time of the rental are taken into account in the final calculation.
  4. Rental timing calculation
    1. The start of booked time is considered the time stated in the studio schedule, not the time of the actual arrival of the client to the studio and not the actual start of the shooting. The booked time will not be extended in case of being late.
    2. The booking time is considered to be finished 5 minutes before the end of the booked time. These 5 minutes are required for changing clients in the zone. The administrator warns 15 minutes before the end of the booked time.
    3. If the studio is booked by the next client, then you must leave the studio no later than the rented time. In case of untimely leaving of the zone, you must pay 30 minutes from the reservation of the next client after you.
    4. If the studio is available after the reserved time, the client's delay for more than 10 minutes after the end of the booked timing is additionally paid as the cost of renting the zone for half an hour, more than 20 minutes - 1 hour.
    5. If the studio is available after the reserved time by the client, 15 minutes before the end of the rental the client, in agreement with the administrator, can extend the shooting time by paying extra on completion of the shoot itself.
    6. In case of early completion of the shooting, the booked timing is still must be paid in full.
  5. Rental cost
    1. All photo studio zones have same cost.
    2. The cost of renting zones from 10 pm to 12 am increases by 100 AED/ hour. The cost of renting zones from 12 am to 8 am increases by 200 AED/ hour.
    3. There are 2 makeup rooms on the first and second floors in the studio, the client can arrive not earlier than 1 hour before the booked time and start preparing, in case the client needs more than 1 hour, the rental price is 300 AED/ hour.
    4. Here are the following rates for renting the studio for photo shoot:

      (1 – 6 people): 1 hour - 300 AED + VAT

      Half day (4 hours) – 1,000 AED + VAT

      Full day (8 + 1 hour) – 1,500 AED + VAT

      1. Photo day (photo shooting or photo day of one photographer with changing clients, 6 - 12 people): 600 AED/ hour + VAT.
      2. An event (photography of 12 or more people) or master classes, seminars, trainings, workshops and other event formats are paid with the price of a full studio rental for video shoot.
      3. For video shoot:

        1 hour – 1,000 AED + VAT

        Half day (4 hours) – 2,500 AED + VAT

        Full day (9 hours) – 4,000 AED + VAT

      4. Production (full-fledged filming with participation of a large filming crew and their own equipment) - is considered with the price of video shoot package.
      5. Full night shoot (10 pm – 8 am):

        Photo shoot – 4,000 AED + VAT

        Video shoot – 5,000 AED + VAT

    5. In case of early completion of the shooting, the booked timing is still must be paid in full.
    6. When the client rents the studio for photo shoot, the studio provides two flashes (Godox AD600BM or Profoto D2 (depends on the zone) and modifiers are free of charge. For video shoot, the studio provides Godox 150 watts and any modifiers are free of charge. Additional equipment for shooting (photo/ video) is charged according to the price list of the studio.
  6. Prepayment
    1. The studio for photo shoot should be booked with prepayment of 50 % of the total amount for bookings of 2 hours and more, if renting for 1 hour- 100 % prepayment.
    2. The studio for video shoot should be booked with prepayment of 50 % of the total amount.
    3. Prepayment can be made in the following ways:

      1) The client can bring cash directly to the studio.

      2) Payment through the payment system, using the online link.

      3) Transfer the money to the company’s bank account (the bank details will be provided by administrator). The client needs to send payment receipts for identification and secure the prepayment.

    4. If the client does not make prepayment, then the booking remains invalid and other clients can take the studio for the same date and timing.
  7. Additional services
    1. The use of the cyclorama is included in the rental price, but dirtiness is fined at a rate of 1,000 to 2,000 AED, depends on the extent of dirtiness. If you need a freshly painted cyclorama, the cost of painting will be 500 AED.
    2. Dirtiness of cyclorama with marks of shoes, sparkles, oil, paints and other loose and flowing materials is paid at a double rate.
    3. To avoid any conflict situations and misunderstandings, the client has the right to take a photo of the cyclorama before starting the shooting and use this photo after booking in order to prove his non-involvement in dirtiness. Otherwise, the administrator's check on the condition of the cyclorama after booking is considered uncontested.
    4. The cost of setting up the stand and paper backgrounds is 50 AED.
    5. Paper backgrounds are consumables and are paid separately from the cost of renting the zone at the rate of 50 AED for each meter of damaged background (torn, bruise, stains, marks, etc.)
    6. Renting of steamer is free of charge.
    7. The renting for video shoot is considered according to the rate of video package:

      First hour – 1,000 AED + VAT

      Half day (4 hours) – 2,500 AED + VAT

      Full day (9 hours) – 4,000 AED + VAT

    8. Renting of smoke (fog) machine is 100 AED.
    9. Projector rental is 500 AED. The projector has connectors for a USB flash drive and works directly from a laptop. The projector is supplied with a 5-meter HDMI cable, all other technical accessories, including a laptop and adapters for the necessary connectors, the clients undertakes to bring to the shooting on their own.
    10. Renting of continuous light is charged according to the price list on the website.
    11. Renting of fabric background is 300 AED.
  8. Rental cancellation and refund of prepayment
    1. The client can cancel the booking at studio in the following ways: directly in our studio, by phone +971 56 839 9199 or send an email hello@skylightstudio.ae marked "Cancellation".
    2. The client can cancel the studio rental no later than 168 hours before booked date (7 days). If booking is canceled less than 168 hours, the management retains the prepayment in full. The client can change the date of booking one time only, informing about the required changes at least 120 hours before the scheduled booking (5 days). If the client cancels rescheduled booking, prepayment is not refundable.
    3. Cancellation of shooting lasting 6 hours or more is possible no later than 192 hours before the scheduled date (8 days). If a booking is canceled less than 192 hours before the booked date, the management retains the prepayment in full. The client can change the date of the booking one time only, informing about the required changes at least 168 hours (7 days) before the scheduled booking. If the client cancels rescheduled booking, prepayment is not refundable. Big shootings split into two or more bookings and/or issued to different members of the same filming crew are considered as one shoot and are subject to this clause of the rules.
    4. If the shooting is canceled on the day of the booked time, the client must reimburse 100 % of the rental price. Otherwise, the client is blacklisted, means in the future the booking of this client will only be accepted with a 100 % prepayment.
    5. Refunds are made by prior arrangement at our studio in cash.
  9. Parking
    1. Parking on the territory of studio can occupy four cars.
    2. If the client gets lost or cannot find the studio, it is necessary to call the studio or request in advance the exact map to the studio directly.
    3. Parking on the territory of studio must be done in strictly designated areas.
  10. Liability
    1. By renting a studio, the client confirms that he/ she is liable for damage caused to equipment, backgrounds, furniture, movable structures in the studio and for the actions of other people presented on the shoot.
    2. If material damage is caused to the studio, the client is obliged to reimburse the cost of damage on the spot. In case of refusal for any reason to compensate for the loss on the spot or pay the bill, the studio administrator must immediately contact the police.
    3. The client is also responsible for the visitors who arrive with him.
    4. Dirtiness and damage to the floor and walls is fine of 300 AED/ sq. m.
    5. Breakage, damage, tearing off the hinges and dirtiness of curtains is a fine of 500 AED/ pc.
    6. Any manipulations with backgrounds should make the studio administrator. Separate actions with backgrounds are prohibited.
    7. Any manipulations with modifiers and light should make the studio administrator. Separate actions with light equipment is fine of 300 AED + the cost of the damaged/ broken equipment.
    8. It is forbidden to stick adhesive tape on the walls/ floor in the studio, drill holes and mount fasteners as well.
    9. The management has the right not to allow into the studio persons in a state of alcoholic or drug intoxication or persons with inappropriate behavior.
    10. For damage and breakage of studio equipment and accessories, the client bears full financial responsibility and compensates for losses on amount agreed with the studio management. At the end of the shooting, the equipment is checked by the administrator.
Equipment Rental Policies
Welcome to our studio! We strive to provide you with high-quality equipment and exceptional service. To ensure a smooth and mutually beneficial rental experience, please review our rental policies below, compliant with UAE laws and regulations.
  1. Rental Period
    1. The rental period begins at the time of equipment pickup and ends when the equipment is returned to our studio.
    2. Late returns will incur additional charges at the standard daily rate.
  2. Reservation and Payment
    1. Reservations can be made in advance to secure the desired equipment.
    2. Full payment is required at the time of pickup. We accept credit cards and cash.
    3. VAT (Value Added Tax) will be applied to all rental charges in accordance with UAE law.
  3. Security Deposit
    1. A security deposit is required for all rentals. The amount varies based on the equipment rented.
    2. The deposit will be refunded upon the return of the equipment in the same condition as it was rented, excluding normal wear and tear.
    3. The security deposit may be retained to cover any outstanding charges or damages.
  4. Identification and Verification
    1. - A valid Emirates ID or passport is required for all rentals.
    2. - For first-time clients, additional verification may be required, such as proof of residence or a business trade license.
  5. Equipment Care and Usage
    1. Renters are responsible for the proper care and use of the equipment.
    2. Equipment must be used according to the manufacturer's guidelines and for its intended purpose.
    3. Do not attempt to repair or modify the equipment yourself. If any issues arise, contact us immediately.
  6. Damage or Loss
    1. Renters are liable for any damage or loss of equipment during the rental period.
    2. In case of damage, the renter will be charged for repair costs. If the equipment is deemed irreparable, the renter will be charged for the full replacement value.
    3. It is recommended that renters have appropriate insurance coverage to protect against potential losses.
  7. Inspection and Acceptance
    1. Renters are encouraged to inspect the equipment upon pickup to ensure it is in good working condition.
    2. Any pre-existing damage or issues should be reported to us immediately to avoid being held responsible.
  8. Return Policy
    1. Equipment should be returned by the agreed-upon time. Late returns will be subject to additional fees.
    2. Please return all equipment, including accessories, in the same condition as it was received.
  9. Cancellation Policy
    1. Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the pickup time will receive a full refund.
    2. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the pickup time may be subject to a cancellation fee.
  10. Liability
    1. Our studio is not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred while using the rented equipment.
    2. Renters assume all responsibility and risk associated with the use of the equipment.
    3. In accordance with UAE law, renters must comply with all local regulations and guidelines related to the use of the equipment.
  11. Governing Law
    1. - These rental policies are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
    2. Any disputes arising from these policies shall be resolved in the courts of the UAE.
  12. Agreement
    1. By renting equipment from our studio, you agree to abide by these policies.
    2. Any violations of these policies may result in additional charges or the termination of rental privileges.
