Which photography studio rental tier to book
Hourly, half day, full day or night — the difference is the shot list, not the budget.
One to three hours. Headshots, a personal-brand set, one product line, content for a week of posts. Photo rental runs from 350 DHS per hour per zone for up to 8 people, minimum one hour, two studio flashes and any modifier included. Most first bookings sit here.
Half day. A lookbook, a small catalogue, two zones in one visit. Once the shot list passes roughly fifteen frames, or the team arrives with a stylist and a model, hourly stops being the cheaper option — the half-day rate is in the table above.
Full day. Campaign shoots, a full collection, or a crew that needs the set left standing between setups. Full-day tiers are per zone; add zones if the shoot moves between sets.
Night. 10 pm to 8 am, 3,000 DHS per zone — for teams shooting around daytime jobs, or for builds too heavy to strike the same evening.

Photography studio rental at SkyLight is priced per zone, per hour: AED 350 for one set, up to eight people, minimum one hour, plus 5% VAT. That rate already carries two studio flashes and any modifier from the kit — softboxes, octagons, beauty dishes, C-stands, reflectors — so the only real add-ons are continuous LED, Astera tubes and paper backdrops at AED 50 per metre rolled out.
How many hours to book. One hour covers headshots or a short packshot run if you walk in with a plan. Two hours (AED 700) is the honest minimum for a lookbook or a content batch with outfit changes. Six hours at AED 2,000 works out cheaper per hour than three separate two-hour visits, and the full night block, 22:00 to 08:00 at AED 3,000, suits crews who need the floor empty.
Photo rate or video rate. The AED 350 photo rate books one zone, and other clients may be shooting in other sets at the same time. Video is a different deal: AED 750 per hour takes the whole studio, all seven sets, lighting included. Choose the video rate when you need quiet and control over the entire space, not one corner of it.
