SkyLight is a photo and video studio for rent in Dubai, based in Dubai Investment Park 2 (SP Warehouses, 8 47 Street). Under one roof you get seven purpose-built sets and a cyclorama, daylight from real skylights and full blackout when you need controlled light, so a single booking can cover portraits, fashion, product, food and video without moving locations.

Searching for a photography studio near you in Dubai comes down to drive time, not map distance. SkyLight is at 8, 47 Street, Dubai Investment Park 2 (SP Warehouses), on the Expo City side of the city, with free parking at the door and ground-floor load-in for racks and cases. Typical drive times: Expo City and Dubai South 15–20 minutes, Dubai Marina and JBR around 20 minutes, JLT 22–25 minutes, Downtown and Business Bay 25–30 minutes, DIFC 28–35 minutes. A Dubai Metro Red Line station serves DIP, which helps when part of the crew arrives without a car. Treat those as honest averages — Dubai drive times move with the hour. We are open daily 09:00–23:00, so an evening or overnight block is a real option if the daytime traffic is the problem.
Rental is priced per zone, photo or video alike: 400 DHS an hour for up to eight people, lighting and any modifier included, +5% VAT. During the day the minimum is two hours (800 DHS); one hour works in the morning (9am-12pm) or evening (8-11pm). Four hours are 1,600, six hours 2,400, an eight-hour day 3,200, and a full night, 22:00 to 08:00, is 3,000. Full access is the other way to book: the whole studio, all seven sets, for 750 AED an hour with lighting included.
Most shoots need nothing beyond what already stands in the zone, and when a scene calls for more, every light in the studio — Aputure, Nanlite, Godox, Profoto, Astera — comes with the rental free. A studio photoshoot here is a space rental, not a production service: you book the zone by the hour and shoot yourself or with your own photographer. The set is already standing when you arrive, and the hourly rate covers up to eight people, the studio lighting and any modifier from the shelf — so the first frames go off within minutes instead of after an hour of building a background.
Realistic output, in the bands we see every week: one hour is one set and one or two looks, two hours is the usual booking for creators and small brands, and a half-day of four to five hours is enough to move through all seven sets with a couple of looks each. Continuous light — Aputure, Nanlite, Godox, Astera tubes — is included in the rental free, like every light in the studio. Pick the set by what you are shooting, not by the floor plan. Fashion, lookbooks and anything that needs a clean seamless background go on the 7.5×5.5 m cyclorama. Personal brand, interviews and lifestyle sit better in the loft or the vintage living room. Food, recipe reels and cooking video belong in the working kitchen set. Luxury campaigns use the private jet cabin (the kitchen and the jet come with full access); streetwear and industrial frames use the container.
