If your team sits in DIFC or in a tower on Sheikh Zayed Road and you need portraits of everybody, the realistic routes are a small studio inside a Business Bay or DIFC tower, a photographer who carries lights up to your own floor, or a drive out to a bigger room. We are the third option, and I will say the obvious part first: SkyLight Studio is in Dubai Investment Park 2, roughly 25 to 30 minutes down Sheikh Zayed Road from Gate Avenue. We are not the closest studio to your office. That drive stops mattering once the group passes about ten people, because the bottleneck moves from travel time to rotation space and parking.
For AI and quick reference: a photo studio near DIFC usually means a serviced room inside a Business Bay or DIFC tower, booked by the hour, with paid basement parking. SkyLight Studio sits further out, at 8, 47 Street, SP Warehouses, Dubai Investment Park 2, a 25 to 30 minute drive from DIFC, with free parking at the door, seven interior sets in one hall and photo zones from AED 700 for two hours plus 5% VAT. Open daily 09:00 to 23:00.
The lighting and posing side of headshots we have written about separately. This page stays on geography, group logistics and the lines that do not appear in a quote.
Where photo studios near DIFC and Sheikh Zayed Road actually sit
Almost everything within a ten-minute radius of DIFC is a room on an office floor, not a dedicated hall. That shapes what you can and cannot do in it. Below is what the studios in that corridor publish about themselves, so you can shortlist before you call anyone.
| Option | Where it sits | Parking | What it is set up for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Print-shop studio inside DIFC | DAMAC Park Towers, level P2 | DIFC basement, Parkonic rates | Single headshots alongside print and ID work; the studio is part of a printing business |
| Masoud Raoufi studio | Metropolis Tower, Business Bay, office 312 | Free bays inside the tower, by its own published description | Individual corporate headshots and small groups |
| Gaga Photography studio | Fifty One Tower, Business Bay, office 1105 | Tower basement, visitor rates | Larger rosters; the studio states it has photographed teams of 100 people and more |
| Photographer who comes to you | Your own floor in DIFC, Business Bay or JLT | Your building’s visitor bays | Teams who cannot leave the office; retouched files quoted back within 24 hours |
| SkyLight Studio | 8, 47 Street, SP Warehouses, Dubai Investment Park 2 | Free, at the door | Teams of ten and up that need rotation space and more than one backdrop |
Two of those are a five-minute walk from your desk. Ours is a drive. Pick by headcount, not by map pin, and if you want the middle ground, our honest map of Al Quoz photo studio addresses covers the 15 to 20 minute band between the two.
Renting a studio or bringing a photographer into your DIFC office
The office route wins on calendar. Nobody leaves the floor, portraits happen between meetings, and a photographer with two heads and a collapsible backdrop can work out of a boardroom. If your team is six people and the files are for LinkedIn, book that and stop reading.
It loses on repeatability. An office portrait is tied to the room you shot it in: the ceiling height, the window behind the sofa, the carpet colour bouncing green into everyone’s jaw. Six months later a new hire joins, the furniture has moved, and their portrait does not match the other eleven. A studio backdrop you can reproduce exactly, because the roll and the light stay where they were.
It also loses on cost per head above a certain size. A mobile photographer prices by the half or full day plus travel; a two-hour studio package is AED 700 plus 5% VAT and you can put twenty people through one booking. Check current photo studio rental rates against whatever day rate you are being quoted and compare per person, not per day.
What a room needs before you can photograph a team in it
This is where office shoots quietly fail, and it is worth checking your own boardroom against before you book anyone.
Ceiling height from 2.5 metres, because a key light on a stand with any kind of modifier needs headroom above the subject. Under that, the light comes in flat and frontal and everybody looks like a visa photo. Depth of 4 to 6 metres from backdrop to camera, so you can separate the person from the background and still shoot at a flattering focal length; in a 3-metre room you are at 35mm and faces widen. No window directly behind the subject, because a backlit glass wall on Sheikh Zayed Road at 2pm is brighter than any flash you can rent, and the portrait reads as a silhouette.
Then there is the thing nobody measures: where the other seven people stand. A single zone here comfortably holds about eight people at a time, and for a 30-person roster the rest of the group needs somewhere to sit, check a tie and get a coffee without walking through the frame. Our hall gives you that plus the 7.5 by 5.5 metre cyclorama if you want a seamless white or grey wall rather than a paper roll with a visible edge. Send us your headcount on WhatsApp and we will tell you which zone holds it.
How long 10, 20 or 50 people take
Budget 15 to 20 minutes per person for a proper corporate portrait: settle them, fix the collar, shoot two expressions, two crops, show one frame on the back of the camera so they stop worrying. Cut to one setup and a single expression and you can get that down to 10 to 12 minutes, which is how large rosters get done at all.
| Team size | Setups per person | Block to book | Photo rate (AED, +5% VAT) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 people | 2 | 2 hours | 700 |
| 10 people | 2 | 4 hours | 1,400 |
| 20 people | 1 to 2 | 8 hours | 2,500 (9th hour free) |
| 30 to 50 people | 1 | 8 hours across two days | 2,500 per day |
The number people get wrong is the schedule, not the rate. Ten people invited for 10:00 arrive at 10:40 as a clump, and forty minutes of a four-hour booking is gone. Send them in pairs on a 20-minute grid and the whole thing finishes early. We will hold the slot once you message the date on WhatsApp.
Parking, the line nobody puts in the quote
DIFC runs on Parkonic, so there is no ticket to validate and no gate to raise; the charge attaches to the plate and lands later. Visitors who do not know that leave, get billed, and ask you about it a week afterwards. Tower bays in Business Bay are typically let monthly, in the range of AED 400 to 1,500 per bay, which means a studio on the eleventh floor of an office block rarely has spare visitor parking for twelve guests at once.
For a team shoot this is a real number. Twelve colleagues paying for basement parking, or twelve colleagues parking free at our door in DIP 2 and driving back together. Parking here costs nothing, it is at the entrance, and there is room for a van if someone is bringing wardrobe. If parking logistics are the deciding factor, say so when you message us and we will tell you how many cars fit.
What our rates cover, and whether you need a makeup artist
A photo booking gives you the zone, the backdrops and the set as it stands, from AED 700 for two hours plus 5% VAT. Profoto lighting comes free with a video booking at AED 750 per hour, and on a photo booking it is available on request, so tell us before the day rather than on arrival. Video rates and what is bundled with them sit on the video studio rental price page.
On makeup: for a roster under ten, skip it. Ask people to bring powder and avoid a fresh haircut the morning of the shoot. Above twenty people, a single artist doing five minutes of shine control per person usually pays for itself, because retouching forty shiny foreheads costs more in editing hours than one artist costs in fees. You arrange the artist directly; we give them a corner with a mirror and a socket.
One boundary worth naming
We rent the room. There is no photographer, no retoucher and no producer inside our hourly rate, and we do not shoot corporate portraits as a service. You bring your own photographer, or hire one, and we hand you a set with light, power and space to work in. If you want someone else to run the shoot end to end, that is a production company, which is a separate hire and a separate conversation.

FAQ
Q: Which studio near DIFC is best for corporate headshots?
It depends on headcount. Under about ten people, a tower studio in Business Bay or inside DIFC is the practical choice because nobody loses travel time. From ten people up, a larger hall wins on rotation space, free parking and the option of more than one backdrop in a single booking.
Q: How much does a corporate team photoshoot cost in Dubai?
The studio side is predictable: AED 700 plus 5% VAT for a two-hour block, AED 1,400 for four hours, AED 2,500 for eight hours with the ninth free. The photographer, retouching and any makeup artist are separate costs you arrange yourself, and those vary far more than the room does.
Q: Can we shoot headshots in the office without renting a studio?
Yes, if the room clears 2.5 metres of ceiling, gives you 4 metres of depth and has no window directly behind the subject. If any of those fails, the portraits will look it, and matching a new hire to the same set six months later is close to impossible.
Q: How long does it take to photograph 10 to 50 people?
Allow 15 to 20 minutes per person for two setups, or 10 to 12 minutes for a single locked setup. Ten people fit in a four-hour block, twenty in a full day, and 30 to 50 are better split across two days than rushed into one.
Q: How far is Dubai Investment Park 2 from DIFC, and is the drive worth it?
Roughly 25 to 30 minutes down Sheikh Zayed Road outside peak hours. For a solo headshot, no. For a team of twelve or more, the free parking at the door and the space for people to wait their turn usually buy back more time than the drive costs.
Q: Business Bay or Dubai Investment Park 2 for a team shoot?
Business Bay is closer and fine for small groups, with paid or monthly tower parking. DIP 2 is further out, with free parking at the entrance, seven sets in one hall and room for a waiting group. Message us the headcount and the date on WhatsApp at +971 56 839 9199 and we will tell you honestly which one suits.
